Admin and Finance Department

  • Central control of accountants and other supporting staff under the ministry from their recruitment, promotion/discipline, training and development to processing of their exit from service
  • Processing of inter service transfer, secondment, office/house accommodation matters
  • General security of the Ministry, maintenance of assets such as office buildings, office equipments and vehicles
  • Liaison with Establishment Directorate, Civil service commission and other MDAs on matters relating to personnel
  • Processing of payments of all utilities (PHCN, Water and NITEL);
  • Updating staff records
  • In charge of motor vehicle loan
  • In charge of Ministrie's store
  • Responsible for the internal financial control of the Ministry, which includes submission of monthly returns to the Accountant General through the Final
  • Account Department, pre-and-post payment approval.
  • Incharge of financial service support.
